Well, Try this file off Oostende approximately 2mi WNW of the entrance.
If you are using the 173 constituents, remove the last 2 (MNUS2 and 2MK2). This should word better comparing to Dover High Water. All the stations could be done so.
Best Regards.
Note:- 15 space fort constituents name, 6for value, 2 space free, 6 other for angle.

Re: OpenCpn current for Nord sea

Well After checking more with the High Water predictted for each stations, it is impossible that the current turn to ebb before High Water. So one should be carefull about the data, until I have completed verifications.

Best Regards.

The program for making the constituents are government property and I obtain permission to use it but not to share. as far as Digipilot you can search the net and will find it at
:
https://www.defensie.nl/english/topi...t-hp1d-windows

For converting the actual constituents to the XTIDE way I made a program change in Visual Basic.
Regards.

Re: OpenCpn current for Nord sea

Beste P_Dub,

if I buy the program here in the Netherlands. Is it then possible to tranform the data to a format that can be used in OpenCPN ? Everywhere I can get tidetables for free. Why are these not digital available for public use ?

Regards,

Bram

Dear P-Dub,

in almost every yachting shop here, I can get a timetable, issued by the goverment (Rijkswaterstaat), for free.

With always a disclaimer about the reponsibily for the data. What is the difference between printed official tidal data information and a digital version ?

Regards,

Bram

I know that, but if you did obtain the official program with kind permission, one should respect the fact.
Regards.

I quote your first post here.

Certainly, the data display works.

That said, as your first post is written, it leaves me perplexed. Could you give us more precise information about the method used to make this data?

Otherwise, it will be necessary to have doubts about their quality.

Gilletarom.

Time must be given to the time so that enough of us verifies the quality of the information contained in these files.

On the other hand, there are already harmonic data provided by Merak56, here in France.

Time to compare the quality of these different jobs would be a good thing.

Later, we could put that in the dokuwiki of opencpn.org.

Attached are the Merak56 files

The problem with these files is that they are base on the time of France and not with the time of each country time zone. Also I have noted that there are numerous differences with the correct tide tables predicted. But if you are happy with it, so use it.
Best Regards.
(Salutations).

Hello P_Dub,

I guess in your reaction, you want to talk about the Merak56 files. If this is not the case, let's forget the rest of this post.

Indeed, the use of French time appears there. But, except for my mistake, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany also use the same time zone. If it is 14h in France, it is also 14h in the countries that I quoted. In other words, the data correspond to Z +2 in the summer period and Z +1 in the winter period.
So I do not understand what you mean.

Ten successive versions of the MERAK56 files have been put online. And over time, they have featured more and more data.
In France, many of us have used them. Critics have appeared in the forums. But the critics were never violent. And all anomalies have been corrected by the author of these data, as soon as they have been reported. Clearly, these data are popular in France.

Personally, I have used them on the coasts of the Channel in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany. I never felt in danger by using them. Of course, there are differences on the time and the water heights, but not to the point that the panic wins me.

That said, you write that the data in the Merak56 files contain errors. Why not. Please give us several examples here. Corrections will be sent to the author of these files.
