Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.213

Dave...

Win8.1
S-63 and oeSENC:
just gray charts, no details
plain S-57 (Inland) do render
in the log:

Quote:

Runing as Admin makes no difference

Inland ECDIS:

- Minimized InlandToolbar has no handle to return to visible
- Applying Inland will leave Icon Rendering in Dusk Mode independent from setting

- Range should allow values > 4000m when using R+/R-, do not limit larger ranges. The value shown is before entering into the predefined ranges

- border case: rendering of high speedvessel without heading information in Inland Mode (detached triangles)

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.213

Inland ECDIS scaling of signs: not scaled
(French InlandENCs, Garonne)

(that clearance is shown on smaller scales does happen with plain S-57/S-63 as well - not new)

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.213

Dave,

A problem I had reported. You said it was a bug that would be corrected. This fault did not appear with 4.4 but appeared with 4.5.204. The bug is not fixed.

In this screenshot, an area where the bottom discovers at low tide therefore, one should have water height underlined.
- On the one hand, they are not underlined,
- On the other hand, these symbols beside each height of water amazes me.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.213

Failing to render S-63 confirmed on the other W8.1 PC.
No special entry in the log though.
S-57 is fine.

More from the InlandECDIS bar:
- On HiRes screen Range value not rendered correctly

Playing with R+/R- and zooming:
as already mentioned once in the value range of Range R+/R- allows max 4000m.
- To get out of the fence requires to click on the canvas and then zoom works again either with the mouse wheel or the +/- keys.
- R+ is equivalent with Zoom out so "-", while R- coresponds with "+"
- The +/- buttons from the Tool bar will work always.

Perhaps the InlandECDIS tool bar should be visible always, no hiding option. Hiding contradicts the "one button back" requirement, the "panic" button.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.213

Dave,

About InlandECDIS mode:When you click on the right button on the InlandECDIS bar, this bar disappears completely. And no visible icon to make it reappear.
Icons # 3 and 4 on the OCPN icons bar reappear but remain gray.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 4.5.213

Dave,

Yesterday, I download VTS Wester Sheldt from VTS site web.

With O4.5.204, no problem.

With O4.5.213, I add the folder with these charts. Then I play with O and settings InlandsECDIS.

And I see that the folder is not visible in the list (normally, it is the last line) but, it is visible in chart group. And I can display these charts.

Gille,

the reduced ENC bar is still there but hidden behind the OpenCPN bar.

Yes, the same here on the RPI. Switching Quilting to off give one chart in Oesenc.

Starting at Dusk mode is a requirement of InlandECDIS.
If you have InlandECDIS activated you will have to switch manually (F5) into Day or Night mode.

"Labels at marks"? What is this?

Oups ... Crash when I try to change from French to English language.

No crash report. Just this screen copy with visual studio when it open automatically.
