Dear Gille

Thank you so much for tactfully calling me and others "fools". I accept this provided you amend it to "Beta-fool" and provided you remember "with great respect" that without the "beta-fools" who test, there would be no plugins!

The list of my "beta-fool" friends on this forum is very long. I (and Sean) would like to express my (our) appreciation of the time they have all spent testing plugins and making suggestions. Please remember that we are all human, and as such we can make mistakes.

Gille... you are forgiven. I consider you my forum friend too.

I've just compiled and uploaded a very recent beta of opencpn to for those "beta-fools" who are capable of doing a parallel installation.

Hi there,
First of all, I want to thank you for all your efforts developing OCPN, testing it, developing, testing it... Really, what a great program !

Since now, I´ve never experienced any problems installing OCPN. But,.. the last Beta 2424 caused heavy problems. Installed it, no reaction from mouse or keyboard. Uninstalled the program, installed it again, nothing changed. Tried it with CM 93 and Netherland ENC.

Some light at the end of the tunnel ?

Where else Scorpion should have get this version?
But during his installation he has decided to install it as stable version which it is not. He should better have it installed in parallel mode to keep the old settings files which is recommended for beta versions. Might be this was the fault.

I have just installed 3.3.2424 some hours ago for Windows-XP to test some anomalies at another machine without any problem in parallel mode. Since you seem to be only one with such a problem there might be some other reasons. Also the hint of bcn above about a screenwidth of 0 mm is suspicious for me.

The mouse wheel and icon are inactive

I downloaded twice same problem.
this installation is in parallel.
What is the link to load 3.3.2410?

2 remarks,

- As "beta testers" we are all fools, "normal guys" use stable versions

- Regarding the download page, Pavel is confirming that developpers are giving him a "GO" to put a version on the website, regarding the upgrade compatibility (compatibilité ascendante), Pavel store the software in the lowest OpenCPN Core level (depending on the level of APIs).

Ctrl-Right click (not arrow key) is : 17 (0x11)
Ctrl-Left Click is : 17 (0x11)

Perhaps it is the same problem as Scorpion has above. Both do not use english version and the log of Scorpion shows several attempted pathes to the locale files. Also the path to chartdir has changed which has been in the Windows Registry times ago: 'HKLM\SOFTWARE\OpenCPN\ChartDirs'.
The developers should have a look...
