Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2410 Released

Hakan...
You have to read the entire instructions at Modularized Packaging | Official OpenCPN Homepage We don't include the high resolution data in the repository as they are simply too big, you have to download them separately.

Full screen toggle:
You say <ctrl><mac key>f does not toggle full screen mode?

Works for me on Lion.

Any other Mac users tested this?

re:
There is a problem with the grib button in the tool bar..
clicking activates plugin and dialog appears, clicking on canvas (to zoom) sends the dialog behind the canvas...thats the easy bit..it takes two clicks on toolbar button to close..then clicking on any other button in the toolbar reactivates the grib plugin...and sends the dialog behind. Not possible to stop this behaviour once started..

This I don't get. Grib control dialog goes off and on normally with main toolbar control. What am I missing? Could you explain it again, maybe another way, so that I can get it?

Thanks
Dave
Dave re grib button..i'll try again.....if i click the grib button in the main toolbar the grib file is rendered normally and the grib settings dialog appears...all good...then any interaction with the overlaid grib sends the dialog/settings window diving behind the main O window... when clicking on the grib toolbar button again to close grib .. sometimes one but more often two clicks are needed to close it... varies after first click.....then clicking on any toolbar button ..say tides...again brings up the grib overlay & no tide stations......once you have clicked on grib once after starting O only a restart will bring back normal behaviour.
As i say its the same for the logbookonni button...exact same behaviour.

Hope thats a bit clearer

Thanks

The problem is however that nobody remembers all the hot keys.
When going to fullscreen with the menu item and not knowing the hotkey for fullscreen the user is blocked.
However with wxWidgets 3.1.0 the user has the chance to hover with the mouse cursor to the upper screen border and he has the menu back again.

OK, clear explanation.
But...
This does not happen to me on Lion.

GRIB dialog does dive under when I click the chart. That can be fixed.

But I can close GRIB just fine with one click on toolbar GRIB button, and open tides, etc from the toolbar like normal. I can get GRIB back anytime I want.

Gerhard, can you reproduce this?

Thanks
Dave

Hubert...

I think the smoothzoom stall fix does not apply to your report. Still checking. I can reproduce your fault, and I think it has to do only with S63. I think...

Pavel.. Shame on me! I ought to learn to read all facts before shouting - sorry.
Thanks for your info

Dave...

I went after this after a report from an InlandENC user so this might be S-57 and not just S-63.

A "Vestas check"

I have started #FS 1601
FS#1601 : Charts CM93 missing chart outlines - a "Vestas" check.

It's about O's ability to show outlines for CM93 charts of isolated ocean islands etc.
A situation where there is are larger scale charts available for isolated dangers surrounded by very small scale charts.
It is very important that this works.
I find more errors than Dave, but how relevant are my findings???
This definitely needs wider testing. So please check out the link above, test and report your findings.

Thanks!

can confirm <ctrl><mac key>f working. As Gerhard said u have only memory for the key combo, i was still hammering away at F11, which has worked in the passed, needs updating in the manual.

thanks

I find that magenta lines are present already at a very small scale for both Rapa Nui (aka Easter Island) and Sala Y Gomez IN NON-QUILTED MODE (single chart mode)

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2410 Released

I noted on some issues with magenta borders of that liitle light appearing- disappearing at scales smaller than 1.0x (per cell 01500720?). Easter island borders appear at "3.5x" on the same cell.
