Hakan...
This not a bug, this a feature
See the discussion at FS#257, but of course reading your report, I'm already inclined to change what the button does...

Sorry no picture, screen turn black and blurred part of it.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2330 Released

OpenCPN updated automatically and everything looks fine in Ubuntu (linux).

Thanks Dave and all the others working hard to make O what it is.

I found an error in the french translation so this part probably goes to Gilletarom.

"and" was translated by "ou" in the AIS dialog. See pictures

Jean-Marie...
If you go to https://crowdin.net/project/opencpn/invite you can easily fix this stuff and it will automatically make it into the next release.

1° Oops .... Very old item .... Sorry. I just fix it (in Crowdin)

2° Furthermore, I took this morning aberrations translation French that I had committed last night.
Unfortunately, they are in the French version of 332330. Unfortunately, I did not test them first.
If we add the items that were not in the Crowdin last night, it had many defects.

I apologize to all French-speaking users.

I enclose here a new version of the language file in French for OpenCPN core.

For those who do not remember, it must be replaced "opencpn.mo" file with the one attached here after renaming this one (first remove the ".doc" extension) in the install folders/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES.

Best regards. Gilletarom

Do you have a link to the most recent BR24Radar_pi source? I have lost touch with this project...

Oooh sorry!
But thanks, I agree that it's a feature and I also partly read the FS#257 to find out a recent translation for the button. The part I read was telling about to track a target on the inland canals for days, so I thought the track would be there until next shutdown? But since I didn't read all notes I could have misunderstood things here? And if it does what's intended it would be interesting to hear about your ideas. Maybe an active track until switched of with the same button, or changed in the AIS-list??
(Every feature tend to be a "never ending story", right?)

Blurry charts? I already wear reading glasses.
and, It is a little fiddly having to go Past clarity and then retreating to clarity to find the largest scale that is clear. This is yet another thing-to-do when all I really want is to set the chart to my choice of a useable scale quickly.

This example is blur where "zoom" scale is navigable in my opinion. I have all sorts of places I go where I don't want the chart blurring. It's pretty obvious in the event how detailed a chart is versus the reality of it and doesn't need O to freak out and get mothering.

I really don't like it. Perhaps there could be an option for it.

I tried crowdin. I upvoted the change already made by Gilletarom. I will have to learn more about crowdin.

Thanks

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2330 Released

Anybody tried the Mac OS X version 3.3.2330 from opencpn.org?
If so, how to handle the NMEA Debug Window from Options? Somebody knows?
And how to come back to window mode once fullscreen mode was activated?
Gracefully I have read here how to avoid the ugly fogging feature with a line of "FogOnOverzoom=0" in opencpn.ini. But other things should be explained.

I agree. I'm rather appalled and disappointed this feature got into the program. I'm not savvy enough to build my own version with the "feature" removed. There is already quite clear labeling that one is over-zoomed.

It is better than the previous "feature" of not allowing any zoom past the scale of the chart. But I don't need protection from myself on this.

Mark...
I hope you can read two posts above yours. There is absolutely no need to build you version of anything to remove the "feature" you don't like. I'm sorry we can't please everybody implementing the "features", but that's life.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2330 Released

I definitely vote FOR the new fogging feature.
On a French forum, some dude was convinced that his charts were accurate to a few meters and he could navigate narrow channels using overzoom and GPS (he was complaining about Navionics preventing him to do it)

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2330 Released

Can someone tell me where the config file is on MacOS so I can write a different value in it?

Is doing this something that is expected from the normal punter using the program?
