Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2302 Released

I can say for sure there is a bug when I put the computer to sleep (suspend) and it is auto following. When it wakes up, the screen is not refreshed correctly and the boat is drawn on the chart where it isn't. Anyone seen this?

Very recent.

Seems that Intel made a bigger update to some chipset graphic drivers, so perhaps it is worthwhile to check (supposed that you are using a integrated Intel graphic chip) if there is a new version available.
Thanks,BCN! that fixed it! Gee, and I thought I had the most recent drivers per the HP site. The intel site is pretty specific per tuning up for OpenGL.
( I guess HP is too busy with a power cord recall. If you have an HP, check this out on their site. )

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2302 Released

Tested all shortcuts listed in the documentation, several do not work.
See this post please
http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/...ml#post1674832

Ctrl + Left-Arrow Larger Scale Chart (Scale In) - does not work.
Ctrl + Right-Arrow Smaller Scale Chart (Scale Out) - does not work.
Ctrl + G* cycles through green, red and normal screen. (- does not work on my system drivers. may on others)

Sort of works (works on move waypoint)
Ctrl + Y Redo Mark/waypoint create, move or delete.
Ctrl + Z Undo Mark/waypoint create, move or delete.

Right Mouse click View center lat & long -not listed.
Left Mouse click moves to center of view. -works ok.

Did not check this
Double clicking on an AIS target, displays the target query dialog.

I am just following along with you...I tested here too-USB gps, and just autofollow on.... I had track engaged previous so it's messy...anyways

OpenGL OFF.so, here I am everything fine.

Then suspend/sleep computer, tend the woodstove etc., return to computer, wake it up, and I get this. Note that autofollow button is disengaged itself upon awaking ,and screen has shifted a little.

Then retry same above with OpenGL,-yikes. ..and the autofollow button has disengaged itself again.

...interesting that in this instance, the position is still "alive" on the info bar, bottom of the screen..ie, nmea sentences are still being heard by O and if I re-engage autofollow she will recover.

Rick...

These work fine for me on Windows and linux

Ctrl + Left-Arrow Larger Scale Chart (Scale In)
Ctrl + Right-Arrow Smaller Scale Chart (Scale Out)
Ctrl + G* cycles through green, red and normal screen.

Anyone else having trouble?

Rick, many thanks for posting about the menus, also for your help in testing on Windows.

I'm sorry, I think I broke these - they seem to 'work', but in the wrong direction: left goes out and right goes in.
They will only be broken if menus are visible.

I will send a pull request to fix it in a moment, along with a couple of other keyboard fixes Dave asked me to help with.

To clarify, are you saying these don't work if you delete a waypoint and then try to undo?

Another thing Rick, I notice in your screenshot of the "Tools" menu that the shortcut for Drop MOB Marker is showing as "RawCtrl-Space".
This is obviously not meant to be the case, that's a bug in wxWidgets 2.8.
I know what to change to fix it, but out of interest, could you just check that the Ctrl-Space shortcut is working correctly?

On WinXP+7(32)
Ctrl-Left/Right-arrows are working, of course only for raster charts.
Ctrl-G does nothing.

Weatherfax Plugin seems not to work correctly with 2303

I have read through all six previous pages but didn't see any reference to this, so, please apologize, if this is duplicate to some previous post:

Since 2303 I get an error message, when downloading Passage Weather charts for the mediterranean. The error message states (message is in German, so just translation): "Resulting picture has negative Dimensions, Abort"..... you can, however, calibrate the picture - then it works.

Has anybody else experienced this? The Weatherfax Plugin is 1.3

Thanks and best regards,

Uwe

For me they are working for S57/S63 charts as well. CM is different though.

Sorry ..... But this problem must have been introduced by prior use of the plugin. Deleted all the "memory" of the plugin and now it works again.....

Sorry again...

Hi
New commits
>
The newly introduced function XTE Zero in the active route handling is very promising although I'm not able to test until next spring, it seems to solve an old issue.
>
There's a new function; "APB Bearing precision x.xxxx" in the serial connections control. I suppose some autopilots are sensitive for the number of decimals but please explain.

Thanks Håkan

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.2302 Released

Hello All,

ASUS EeePC 1015 H, W 7 Starter, 10'.

I tested last week all the keyboard shortcuts that exist.
All work properly with O 332302.

Remember that some of them, such as Ctrl-G works only with "OpenGL ON".

Obviously, if you are using an unofficial version of O332302 is something else ...

Gilletarom.
