Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

All in working order v. 3.2.2

I deleted v.3.3.1931 and installed v. 3.2.2

Must have been too many upgrades on top of the old perhaps?

bzs...
Thanks for the video. Cool hardware

We need to run OCPN with the gdb debugger to get a full stack trace on crash. I presume gdb is available for your platform.

Thanks
Dave

bzs...

Strace is not too useful in this context. We really need a gdb stack backtrace after the crash.

Thanks
Dave

Hi Dave,

I try the gdb too.

gdb:
...
...
Program received signal SIGILL, Illegal instruction,
0xb512e344 in ?? ()
from /usr/local/lib/opencpn/libwmm_pi.so
(gdb)

My WMM plugin is very old, I deleted.

This is a bug, not seen before, but clear and easy to correct from the crash dump.
I just had the same problem when first running 3.3.1931 after 3.2.2. Deleting the navobj.xml-changes file allowed 3.2.2 to run. I didn't see it on Flyspray so thought I'd mention it and if you need logs just let me know (as the original source was unknown).

Ignore previous post - I see it is fixed in Git.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

Ref my post #51

With OpenGL off there is still a problem.

With OpenGL on I selected texture compression in OpenGL options and the picture breakup has gone away.

However it is doing some funny things with one of my alpha plugins. On opening OpenCPN I see the button 'Graph' as normal. When I go to the toolbox and return the button 'Graph' has been renamed to 'Next'!

Can anybody else clarify why all my .kap/bsb charts gets all skewed up
when I move it with the mouse? This has never happened in any of the
previous versions of OCPN?

[/QUOTE]

Yes I also have the same problem. First I thought it was the charts produced by GE2KAP but then I tried a place with only normal BSB/KAP charts and I get the same problem.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1931 Released

It seems that the Grib "Weather table" feature got the dates wrong. It starts a full 24 h earlier than the normal grib and ZyGrib for the same Grib file.

Hello Dave,

For more information (after #72):

For several days, so I sail I used O322. I had no warning message.

This morning, I wanted to use the plugin Grib latest version, so I launched O331931. And the alert is triggered again.

After that, I closed O331931 and I launched O322. The alert was triggered again.

Best regards

Gilletarom
