This has nothing to do with neither mouse nor touchscreen, it does the same when you zoom using keyboard, touchpad or whatever else. And btw, most touchpads even on PCs simulate the mouse wheel when you slide your finger up and down next to it's right edge.

Is it possible to prevent OpenCPN attempting to load Nv-Verlag charts as the NV-Verlag plugin is not enabled?
Maybe I do not understand the request.

1. I start from zero. No charts directories loaded, NVC PlugIn disabled.
2. I load the directory with NV Verlag charts (.EAP). Of course, they do not display. Oops, I forgot to enable the NVC PLugIn, so...
3. I enable the NVC PlugIn. Still no display.
4. So, I rebuild database. And voila, they display fine.

Is this your experience? Or something different?

Thanks
Dave
Hello Dave,

Following the post # 32 and post your request # 85

If I used only the 322 version, I guess I never faced this inconvenience. But I am very distracted.

As I often installed in parallel beta, it happened to me several times not to load the plugin NV or not to activate it. And yet, I tried to load the NV-Verlag charts. This is what I tried to describe in post # 32.

Most useful: It should O from trying to load the NV-Verlag charts if the NV-Verlag plugin is not enabled.

What I just wrote is it clearer for you?

Gilletarom...

OK, the part I don't understand is this:

Code:
But in addition, even if it installs or activates the NV-Verlag plugin, it will not be possible to get to see the charts, even forcing the reconstruction of the database. It is imperative to remove the folder and then reload for it to work finally.
This is not my experience. I do not need to remove the folder, and then reload it. It is sufficient just to reconstruct the database.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1731 Released

Hello testers...

It has been reported that F7/F8 keys (chart scale shift in/out) do not work in some configurations of 3.3.1731.

Anyone able to reproduce this with specific settings? I cannot...

Thanks
Dave

I need to see an upload of the chart "agc101_1.KAP". This chart is corrupt, and causes an OCPN crash. I want to detect the corruption at run time, and eliminate the crash.

If you have this chart, please post here for analysis.

Thanks

Dave,

Found this website: Index of /Library/Maps/BSB Charts/-- Adriatic Sea (Croatian Maps)

And downloaded the chart in question. Displays correctly on my 3.3.1731, I think. The .kap is too large to attach.

Mike...

Thanks for the link. Chart loads OK for me too, so I will reconsider my theory...

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1731 Released

Two more minor anomalies:

Double clicking on a waypoint does not open the waypoint for editing; it opens the object inspector for the chart.

With the measure tool the line between the points - the blue line - is absent. The tool does not draw at all on the chart - no points either; it only reports the distance in a small yellow box. (Route tool works as expected.)

This is on Arch Linux with openbox.

But how come you mentioned 'Montagne de la Clare' (could be Clape, actually) ? This location cannot be on the agc101_1 chart

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1731 Released

Hello All,

The item "Course up mode" and the item "Show skewed raster chart as up north" are "contradictory".
I never tested if the two items are checked. If both items are checked, what's happening?

Thank by advance, Gilletarom.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1731 Released

"Course up" prevails.

Testing under OS-X I see the following.
Select a skewed chart and "Skewed North-up" the charts rotates correctly.
Select "Course-up" and it changes to this setting. Ok

Now un-tick "Course-up" and" Apply" and nothing happens - or more precise: the chart outlines are rotated, but not the chart itself. It requires to tick and un-tick again (now "Apply") to rotate the chart as well.
OS-X, 1606, Chart 5161 from the NOAA sets.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1731 Released

Hi Dave
Tests font changes after compiling last Github (test Windows )
- Double font entries for Us and local language corrected
(Off course if an entry previously created exists in the config file, needs to be cleared)
- Another remarks
- Setting dialog ( all panels ) is not impacted by a "dialog" font change
- Object query dialog is not impacted by a "Object query" font change
- "Menu" font change has no action ( I suppose we are speaking about menus displayed after a right click )
- All dialogs and marks name font changes need to close and reopen O to be applied

jp...

Hmmmm...

For me, XP, I see the following on font changes:

Options Dialog: Font change takes effect on next activation of options dialog. Not the same as you? Please confirm...

Menu/Object Query: Font setting have no effect. Obvious bug.

Mark names: Font change requires restart.

Some other dialogs: (e.g. "Center View") Font setting have no effect.

So, I see one difference in options dialog fonts?

This clearly needs work.

I have no "Options Dialog" in the font elements list, but only "Dialog"
Is it right ?
If I change this "Dialog" font, all dialogs (Route manager, Route and way point properties, tide & current) have their font changed after a restart
But the setting dialog font never changes, even after a restart.
