Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1419 Released

Dave,

OK.. Well I looked it up and AST is a US thing so perhaps that should be changed to something more meaningful for the rest of us such as UTC -4 or similar? LMT for Stanley would be UTC -4 but Falklands local time is UTC -3 (all year) and my nav computer is set to UTC. That way I don't have to mess about with time changes in navigation as I cross time zones.

I'd like tide to be displayed in computer time, or locked to a timezone set by the user such as UTC. Is that possible in OCPN?

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1419 Released

Hi,

It looks like I had problem with attachment.
I hope that now will be better.

One more thing that also max value of hPa need to be set maybe to 1050 hPa see picture. I don't know why but our weather station some times give us value 0 hPa and sometimes "cosmic" value but generally it works fine.

Seems like wxWidgets 2.9.5 is still used on Mac. Maybe some of the issues is solved in wxWidgets 3.0?

Just 10 hours ago some memory leaks in wxOSX graphics and display code was closed in the wxWidgets 3.1 code.
There are still a lot of bugs in wxWidgets for OSX.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1419 Released

I'm unable to test the barometric history because OCPN does not decode the necessary sentence. I have the same problem with wind history. TWD is shown on the gauge but not on the history - seems to be inconsitent on that one.

The required sentences are MWD and MDA

See attached screen grabs showing NMEA sentences and no-show of data.

Littlechay....

Can you send us a NMEA stream capture (using VDR plugin)?
I guess we will need 10 or 15 minutes worth to debug the history graphs.

Thanks

I'll capture some, will have to install the plugin on the boat.. I have posted raw NMEA capture from GPSGATE before is that any use or does it have to be VDR?

Dave,

Attached is one hour from GPSGate will, start VDR on the boat today and send a VDR log tonight if required.

Usual thing, delete the .doc suffix

Dave,

Here is a VDR file from this morning. More data from different sources in this one, also some AIS CPA alarms instances etc..
