Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released
Hi testers...
As was mentioned above, the current alpha test 0.1.0 of the s63_pi is not compatible with OCPN 3.3.1328.
A revised s63_pi alpha test will be coming soon.
Thanks
Dave

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released
Hello Dave,
Pfuuuu ..... what a pity! We ask all this or that trick be added to OCPN .... This is what has been done in the buttons list of AIS targets.
result:
1 there is more and more buttons.
2 buttons become very narrow, lack of space vertically in the window.
Sorry, I start again my song:
OpenCPN becomes too complicated to use. Think of all the beginners for whom IT is a nightmare. Think of all those who have poor eyesight. And when the sea is rough ... as the ship pitches and rolls ... think about how we will bring the mouse over the buttons ...
Pfuuuuuu .... Dave, watch OpenCPN is a tool in danger. There were many other important things to improve. Do not waste time with this kind of development.
Sorry Dave, to be negative ....

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released
Hello dave,
O331328. A little bug.
With a route, context menu. Then "Reverse".
- Then instead of "Yes" or "No", click on the red cross. Nothing done.
- If click on "No", the route is reversed.

AIS tracking should be off by default for basic stations and AtoNs as it makes no sence here.

Hi,
Thanks for "196. In Dashboard, implement barometric pressure from MDA sentence field 3,4" it is great improvement for me.
It is possible to have also "Barometric history" like we already have "Wind history".
It is nice to have a tendency of barometric pressure.

In beta 3.3.1303/1328 error occurred displaying national Cyrillic texts. I already wrote about the error and fixed it in beta 3.3.1117

Hi Kubek.
Have you tested the barometric pressure function?

Hi,
Yes, I tested it with data that I collected during my last trip to South Georgia, Elephant Island & Antarctica.
See attached picture

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released
I have a question about the current dashboard functionality. First, thanks for the updates for this, especially the Depth in Feet.
Maybe this is a feature request, and not a bug, so I apologize if so.
When I am displaying the True Heading value, it appears to require the variation to come from an external source (or, an actual true heading to arrive on the NMEA stream), is that correct?
Would it be possible to use the Variation from the WMM plugin (if installed), to calculate True heading if only Mag heading it being sent over NMEA?
I only get variation from my chart plotter (and in turn, variation and true heading NMEA data is only sent from the plotter), and on long trips, prefer to leave it turned off to save energy. Would it not be possible to use the variation from WMM if the true heading NMEA input is not available?
Perhaps its not possible to share data from plugin to plugin however.
This also applies to the True Wind Direction & Speed dial, which shows M or T for the direction based on the NMEA data.
Thanks for your advice.

Use the magnetic variation indicated by WMM to calculate the true heading, each point is a good idée.Cela would automatically correct course transmitted by the compass, without having to manually change the value that is entered in the first tab options (at the bottom).

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.3.1328 Released
Has CM93 charts ever worked after compiling without OPENGL ?
If the simple answer is No, skip below.
From http://opencpn.org/ocpn/compiling_source_linux:
From 3.3.117 is it possible to build without using OpenGL at all.
This is my try.
mv plugins/grib_pi/ /tmp
cmake
-- *** Staging to build opencpn 3.3.1328 ***
-- OpenGL not found...
Using make:
pluginmanager.cpp.o: In function `PI_PLIBRenderAreaToGL(wxGLContext const&, PI_S57Obj*, PlugIn_ViewPort*, wxRect&)':
/storage/opencpn/OpenCPN/src/pluginmanager.cpp:3877: undefined reference to `s52plib::RenderAreaToGL(wxGLContext const&, _ObjRazRules*, ViewPort*, wxRect&)'
"Disabled" the function PI_PLIBRenderAreaToGL using
#ifdef ocpnUSE_GL ,
ending the function with
#endif
wxString msg;
msg.Printf(_T("In PI_PLIBRenderAreaToGL") );
wxLogMessage(msg);
return 1;
}
Using KAP charts it works, but when trying cm93 a Segmentation fault is produced after loading the charts.
Core was generated by `./opencpn'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation fault.

curl...
Good catch. Obviously this situation not well tested. Flyspray bug report would be appreciated.
Thanks
