Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.915 Released

When adding or deleting a chart directory, the update may take place twice. First when pressing "Apply" and then a second time when pressing "OK". If just pressing OK, then this is not a problem of course.

Diego
That is correct, and intended. It happened in the previous beta, when undo/redo was introduced.

Quote:
CTRL + Z Undo Mark/waypoint create, move or delete.
CTRL + Y Redo Mark/waypoint create, move or delete.
For zooming use +/- or CTRL + / CTRL -.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.915 Released

Jesper..

I just did a parallell installation of the new OCPN beta on my Win 7 Basic which crashes every time I try to initiate the tools button?? This is of course a BIG problem. Otherwise most things seem normal at first glance.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.915 Released

Yes, every time crashed when trying to open the tool box.
Then, I uninstalled and installed again of the stable 3.02 and latest beat 3.1.915 2/3 times but results were always the same.
The log files of of installatin and opencpn attached.

I can duplicate the problem in XP by activating some plugins.
To temporary get around this, edit the ini file and deactivate all plugins except the Dashboard and the Grib.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.915 Released

I tried with the following steps again:

- Uninstalled OpenCPNs and deleted the folders
- Restarted netbook (win7)
- Installed 3.1.915
- Restarted netbook
- Could not start the program after "No charts installed" message.

No "opencpn.ini" file is in opencpn folder.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.915 Released

When I double-click a Mark, it MOVES...I do have them "locked".
I hadn't noticed this before because my habit from older versions is to right-click them.

PS: new interface is more intuitive! Bravo!

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.915 Released

The "style" option for route properties doesn't work that well.
In GL all Styles produces a solid line.
In non GL rendering, only dots works, while some, dash and long dash, are invisible. Colors & widths are OK.

Happy! I can't make my marks move by double clicking.....

Well, size issue is already addressed. Also looks like more wxW 2.8.10 bitmap problems as well. I'll see if I can fix that the same way as the others.

OK, I'm not a Mac guru, and I don't have one to test on, but this is what happens when the program is not installed properly, but instead just run from the downloaded folder.

The uidata folder which are located in the installer needs to be present in one of the locations listed in the log file "looking for styles" entries. It should be put there on install, at least that is what happends under Windows and Linux...

To try to find out what's behind this, could you try once to run the program in English instead of Turkish? This way we can narrow down what could be happening a bit.

I'm glad a lot of you seem to like the new UI! Thanks.

I can reproduce the move. Most interesting effect, well spotted!!!
Could maybe be a rounding error in the conversion between double and deg/min string...

All repeated once again and the result did not change: I could not start the program.
