Hi Dave,

Nice work !

Dialogs
Just a comment. To avoid the vertical scroll bar into the "AIS Targets" Tab. It should possible to put the "Rollover" and "CPA/TCPA Alerts" groups at the same latitude... in front of each other.

Button bar
I suggest to improve the order of the buttons of the button bar, by sorting them on a logical way, as you did for the settings dialogs. Here under is a suggestion, with notes...

I do not know if it is possible to sort the plugins between the others.

Regards
Pierre

Maybe you mean when creating a Route, using Great Circle routing? I found a problem there, related to Undo. This has been fixed.

For Mac,
I've copied the Uidata folder from the 3.1.814 Windows version into SharedSupport and now I can start O 3.1.915.
But seems to have a lot of problems.

So the strange thing is that you are not getting any opencpn.ini file in c:\ProgramData\opencpn

I am somewhat suspicious that your Turkish operating system is causing that to fail... As far as I know 3.0.2 runs OK in Turkish, and we have not really changed the handling of locales in this beta.

Can you run v3.0.2 on this system?

Could you please enter those problem into OpenCPN::Tracker All Projects: Tasklist ? (Against the 3.1.x Beta Project, specifying Mac platform)

The Mac developers are gone for a few days from this forum and the best way to make sure we don't loose them is to create a Flyspray entries for the problems.

I'm not at all involved in the Mac build. It's all done by "bdbcat". I just uploaded his package.

Could maybe be a rounding error in the conversion between double and deg/min string...
Jesper, Happy and all

I cannot repeat the "mark jump". It may have something to do with the fact that I'm using a 64 bit system, so a possible rounding error will not be the same.

If you get as far as trying to open the Options window then OpenCPN is running and you must have an opencpn.ini file, right??? (you said before that it was not created)

Anyway, the actual crash problem could be a little bit hard to find without a debugger. Would you be willing to try running a special opencpn.exe which has more extensive debugging code in it? If you are, please PM me with your email address.

Or maybe you have a normal desktop mouse with no jitter
The cause was not rounding, it was very small drag events in the event queue. A fix is in master.

Jesper

I saw your post about the drag event to late......

When adding or deleting a chart directory, the changes are processed twice if first clicking "Apply" and then "OK", once for each button.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.915 Released

I renamed my opencpn.conf file, to test what a new install is like.

When clicking OK in the dialog that tells me to install charts I get a crash!

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.915 Released

Hi all..

Has any resolution been found to the total crashing of OCPN when accessing the Toolbox button? I see I am not the only one..

I am running Win 7 starter edition.
