This is currently not possible, the icon is hardcoded in the program.
I have looked at parsing an SVG file for this but this will be in a future version.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.1105 Released

Hello,

In the tab "connection", when we create a new connection, it is possible to choice the level of priority of this new connection.

Is the priority max is "0" or is it "9" ?

If today I create a new connection with priority 1 (by exemple) and if I create tomorrow I create an other connection with the same level of priority, what occur about the level of priority for the previous connection ?

Thank by advance.

Gilletarom.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.1105 Released

I also have a problem with connections.

I have a Garmin GPS152 that has a 9600 baud serial port connection. Even though I can connect to Seaclear and MapTech software, OpenCPN has NEVER been able to receive Garmin protocol data from this GPS via a standard serial port and that is still the case.

But now I cannot SEND data to it, although that was previously possible with the "send data to GPS" dialog where the port and baud rate could be set. Of course, Garmin host protocol could be selected as well.
With this beta, all I get when I try to send route and waypoint data is a dialog telling me to "prepare the GPS for upload" - whatever that means. The Garmin is always ready to accept data, but seemingly can not be connected to OpenCPN as even if I add the port in the connections dialog, it is not recognised as a GPS by OpenCPN.

I have two other GPS connected as well though only as sensors, so how does OpenCPN know which GPS I want the route data sent to?

I use the GPS as the primary cockpit instrument and if I can't upload data to it, I will have to revert to a previous version that has this capability.

ps all the connections I have tried setting have "no" status on the "output" tab. Maybe I could set my Garmin as a connection with "output" capability, but I can't see how.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.1105 Released

The AISradar plugin creates a crash on exit, using XP SP3. The plugin was not activated. Removing the dll from the plugin directory solved the problem. It seems like this plugin badly needs to be updated ...

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.1105 Released

hello,

Little bug with AIS icon :

I run NavMonPc and then I run OpenCPN. The AIS Icon is red and this icon will remain red ... See first screen copy

If I place the mouse on the icon, without any click, the icon change see screen copy

Then If I output the mouse of the AIS icon, it change another.

Is this normal ?

Dave

No luck with the new interface when testing GPSD. I tried all reasonable values address values. Localhost was one, an O filled in the port correctly, but not receiving any GPS values. Xgps working. Not a word about gpsd in the log!! What's the story?
Still on Kubuntu 12.04.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.1105 Released

Hi
Crash with mixed BSB/CM93 ( my #98 above )
Gilletarom is right , it is not always reproducible
After a lot of tests and long time playing with BSB , I had many crashes in two cases
1) playing with BSB alone ( in a chart group or not ) and dragging/zooming , always in big /medium scale
2) switching among chart groups including BSB

No change with GL or not GL , but always in quilting mode

I tried in debug mode and I got each time the same result (see in the shot attached )
I seems to append mainly over the same zone. May be a chart (or more ) creates this problem although I use for a long time the same set of charts ?

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.1105 Released

Thanks for answering Dave,

In addition it seems that whatever is the transmit sentence choice in output filtering, only ECRMB & ECRMC are transmitted when a route is active.

Re: OpenCPN Beta Version 3.1.1105 Released

Crash BSB:
After more tests, I am now almost sure it has nothing to do with groups , and nothing with my set of charts
I found a process which leads each time to a crash and the same on both my Vista notebook and my small XP net book :
1) unload all chart and delete all groups to start with a clean empty chart DB
2) zoom out enough to display a zone greater than the charts you will load
3) load a directory containing BSB 3 charts
4) zoom in until getting blue chart bares
5) open a chart (clinking on a bare)
6) zoom out and drag to put the chart out of the screen
7) try clicking and zooming over another chart

The crash is very close !

Dave:
Hi again Freddie here, your worst nightmare!
I have again tried to build O on Mac OS X (10.7.5). This version stops while trying to build instrument.cpp with 9 errors.
Here is what Xcode is telling me, perhaps you can help because I don't have a clue about anything in any of this code. Here is a window of the errors.

Thanks again,
Freddie

Freddie

Try adding #include <wx/dcgraph.h> at instrument.h line 40.
