Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.925 Release
Hello Dave,
But after my last post this morning, my computer broke down definitively.
I'm not surprised. For some time he was starting difficult. And in particular, it gave off a lot of heat.
I am momentarily "out of service". So a little patience. I will return when I have replaced my PC or able to restart it.
I use a tablet temporarily, just for a few Emails and post.

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.925 Release
A small problem.
Using Linux (gentoo). When I run my installed O, I get a 'blocked' font for the units.
If I run the same O as portable from the build directory the font is fine.

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.925 Release
Found it.
Somewhere in the process of updating O, the values in the conf file for fonts were changed to "fixed"

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.925 Release
I'm using a high resolutions screen on my laptop (3200x1800) and the text and toolbar are too small to be usable. There is no problem with version 4.0.
This unfortunately is a major issue to me. My screen is 13'' by the way.
See screenshot.

Dell XPS13, I suppose. Can confirm it.
UserInterface Scale factor doesn't have any effect (OpenGL on and OFF)

Go to Options->Display->Advanced and tell us what the settings are for "Physical Screen Width". How many mm and is it in Auto or Manual mode?

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.925 Release
Dan,
does not make any difference. Auto=295mm and real/manual=335
The output is identical.

Simon,
You can try posting a copy of opencpn.log (usually in C:\Program Data). Append .doc to the file before uploading so forum will accept the file. Maybe someone will spot something that helps identify the problem.

I have just submitted a pull request that may fix your problem. I saw the same crash.

simon...
Re: Small icons and text.
I agree that the icons do not resize correctly. This will be fixed for next Beta.
Meanwhile, you should be able to increase the text size in Settings->UserInterface->Fonts->Dialog->Choose Font.
Please let us know if the text sizing is not working for you.
Thanks
Dave

Chuck,
This change causes a debug build to complain "You cannot access the output stream while the thread is running!".
Also, I have seen the crash after this change was made so I don't think that is the solution.

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.925 Release
I don't see the link for the new beta. My old one, 4.1.818, won't start up. Tried on 3 different devices. Are the betas set to expire and stop running on a certain date? I miss OCPN on my Note3. I don't want to go back to what I was using before cause it doesn't work with CM93.

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.925 Release
Printing from 4.1.925 in A3 formaat.
Yachting Charts here are in A3 format. I have an A3 colour printer. Sometimes I like to have a paper copy of the charts. But is not possible to print in this release in the A3 format.
I have to make a printscreen image first and then it is possible to print in A3 format.
It is not clear why it is not possible to print direct from O in A3 format. All other programs have the standard possibility in Linux Mint.
Regards,
Bram
