OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.925 Release

Testing the S-63 plug-in (Win) with OpenGL ON charts will turn grey without detail.
On a W8.1 PC this shows up when zooming in and zooming in further will render the charts ok again.
On a W10 PC all but the smallest scale (overview) chart will turn grey and only clicking on the piano bar will render a chart. But at an overzoom and zooming out will bring grey again.
All ok with OpenGL OFF.

I've observed that Intel did update the chipset driver in the latest MS update rounds. As there is no before/after comparison I'm not sure if this can be the reason.

The identical charts are getting rendered correctly under 4.0.0

O4.0 performances are back with the latest git (even a bit better? )
built and tested with W8.1 and Linux kubuntu 14.04
Also details disappearing problem is gone.

1° When re-building charts data base :

Note translation anomaly. Two items remain in English on the window that announces the charts included. These items are: "Estimard time" and "Remaining time".

2° Using Chartdownloader plugin:

Two remarks:
1. In the list of related links to download ENC charts the USA, by district, missing link for the district 12.
2. Unable to select at once all the charts that appear. This must be done for each chart. When there are a lot ... not funny.
It lacks a button that existed in O4.0 version of this plugin.

Using the NV-Verlag plugin

I made many tests with normal Version 4.1.925. So much so that my version 9.1.915 was OpenCPN anything. In particular, I can not manage to rebuild the database.
So I uninstalled completely OpenCPN 4.1.925, 4.1.602 and also OpenCPN 4.0. Then I cleaned the PC with CCleaner (I've updated CCleaner on this occasion.)
Then I reinstalled O 4.0. I loaded the CM93 raster charts and with whom I have been testing (as I said in the thread W10).
Then I did install the 4.1.925 version of O ++ and I did a lot of tests without installing the NV-Verlag charts.

After that, I installed the NV-Verlag charts and trying to display them. Apparently, the construction of the database is done correctly. But frankly, I do not know.

The border charts are displayed correctly apparently, red.
But not display a map NV-Verlag. Whenever I click on an area corresponding to one of these charts, OpenCPN crashes with no apparent crash. I have no alternative but to close it by force.

See the screenshot that I could perform. Here joined two crash-reports with 4.1.925++.

the NV plug-ins are not yet ported to 4.1.x as far as I know.

We are playing with a private S-63 PI at this moment as well.

Thanks for the test reports.

1. Missing translation. Will investigate.
2. Chart downloader Plugin.
a. There is no Coast Guard District 12. See Chart Downloader for NOAA RNC&#174

b. To select All charts, try Right-click on the chart list. A menu with some options is presented.

3. WMM. There has been some discussion about this. Should the calculated variation apply to the cursor position, the center screen position, or the boat position? I suggest a FlySpray Feature Request in order to get all interested opinions in the air, and we may proceed.

I find that the charts display properly in quilt mode, but that I experience a crash similar to yours when operating in single chart mode. (F9).

I will investigate the crash.
Meanwhile, will you test this PlugIn in quilted mode and report?

With the "quilt mode ON", it does not work better. The chart area turns black, the toolbar is displayed but the chart bar is black. This definitely remains black. The PC light constantly flashes. This indicates a large hard drive work
If I move the mouse over the chart area, and if I left click, the chart screen area becomes white and white remains permanently.

The only way out is to close OpenCPN force.

Regarding nv charts PlugIn crashes...

1. Are you in OpenGL mode? Does it crash if you use standard (non-OpenGL) mode? For me, it works OK in non-OpenGL, quilted mode. All other combinations crash. I am investigating.


2. The Crash Dump files you have attached contain only a screenshot, but the dump file included in the zip archive is empty. So I have no information. Please check this.
