Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.602 Release

Hakan...
You are building against different set of libraries. Exactly the same reason for which you need different set of files in your buildwin folder to produce a working package.

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.602 Release

Pavel...
Ok thanks, understand.
Well, well - it may eventually be time to find me cheap W7 installation package for my old friend then. (Hints?)
(And, Yes I know your advices, but I'm running Linux in behind - so far.)

Or - build also the other plugins I need. Just to maintain an XP testing environment?

Thanks
Håkan

Hi Pavel,
just a short note about the package opencpn-plugin-climatology that depends on opencpn-climatology-data instead of opencpn-plugin-climatology-data.
Thanks,
Roberto

Roberto...
Thanks for the catch. The updated package is building right now, should be available very soon.

Re: OpenCPN for Android Beta test 4.1.530

Hi Dave,

did you fix in this release the multiple waypoints issue I am having?

I set one waypoint roughly, then I edit the LAt Long and perhaps change name or anchor watch distance and I end up with a moltitude of waypoints...
Six in the attached.

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.602 Release

Would it be possible to add an option to delete old plugins that are not compatible with the current OpenCPN ?

Perhaps a delete option could be added to the info box that is already displayed.
Or, at least display the path in the dialog box to make them easier to find.

Cheers,
JM.

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.602 Release

JM...
Not really - the user running OpenCPN usually does not have enough permissions to delete the files (given you are not running everything as an Administrator, of course)
Most of the plugins are already updated, the rest on the way, so you just have to reinstall them with the new version. IMO a one time operation not really worth more development.

Perhaps this is a specific problem: I installed the latest VDR plugin but OpenCPN continues to complain about "vdr_win32_pi16_v03_pi" ?

Thanks,
JM

JM...
Yes, it is - a leftover DLL you placed there manually, from the time before we've had the plugin installers.

You need to use the connections filters to exempt your ownship report. This is a standard feature of OCPN 4.x

Thanks Dave!
I'll first update to the latest version to see this feature in live. In my current 3.2 version it ais keeps giving collision messages.

Re: OpenCPN Beta test 4.1.602 Release

I'm having a problem with some Google Earth Charts I have for local harbours (see attached images).

This happens when panning or zooming.

Win 7.

Did not have this problem in V4.0.

What other information do you need ?

Cheers,
JM.

NahanniV....

1. Can you attach a Google chart, small one, please?
2. Are you running with OpenGL?

Thanks
Dave

Yes, I am running with OpenGl.

In trying to figure out exactly what causes this, I noticed that when this happens there is always a skewed chart in the area. If I hover over the skewed chart selector the the problem area around the google map is highlighted even though the skewed chart is not in that area.
When I disable the skewed chart I do not get this problem.

The skewed chart is:

208601
Datum: NAD83
Projection: Mercator

File Type: pdf FiftyPoint.zip.pdf (539.9 KB, 16 views)

Here is an Image to clarify what I said in the previous message.

The cursor is hovering over the skewed chart.
