Hi folks

Have been using opencpn for the past year and find it fantastic. Thanks to all the folks that have created it.

I wanted to do some passage planning with regards to weather. Similar to an old program (Virtual Passage Planner) that I had many years ago.

It appears that the Climatology plugin will do what I need.

Windows 7

I downloaded and installed the pgm. It shows up on the toolbar in OpenCPN

Downloaded the corresponding files CL-DAT-9.7zip, unzipped and placed in
C:\Program Files\OpenCPN\plugins\climatology\data

When I click on the icon for Climatology in the tool bar it opens a box Climatology Control Panel.

I am not sure how to set this up properly. I have gone thru and defined how I want to see the data (wind in knots, temp, etc.)

But the control panel box keeps opening and nothing shows up as far as wind roses etc.

I looked for the technical document that would explain this portion but could not find it.
