opencpn 5.0.0 on opensuse 15.0 with osenc crashes on login to o-charts

I use opencpn on a laptop and a raspberry pi - at version 4

Work has given me a shiny new laptop and I have loaded up opencpn 5 but I cannot log into the o-charts site using the oesenc plugin.

I go into the senc plugin and choose refresh and it asks for creds, which I enter.

I then get

Thread 1 "opencpn" received signal SIGSEGV, Segmentation fault.

The stack trace says

and there is more but that's probably enough for now.

Plan A is to ask here.
Plan B is to go to opencpn 4

Any thoughts?

Re: opencpn 5.0.0 on opensuse 15.0 with osenc crashes on login to o-charts

What version of the plugin are you using? Is your other laptop also running OpenSuSE 15.0? If it is, which version of the plugin is it running? If it is not, your plan B might turn out to be a waste of time.

I'm not aware that the plug-ins have been built yet for OpenCON 5.0 OpenSuse

oeSenc is at 2.7.

The other laptop is running Leap 15.0 and openCPN 4

Thanks for thinking about this problem. I'm only just returning to it - I've been sailing...
