OpenCPN 2.5.0 Win 7 problems

I have had exactly the same problem, I sorted the problem by uninstalling and downloading again, that seemed to cure the problem. I am now struggling to find the charts without having to leave my credit card on some Russian site so if anybody would like to PM a source I would appreciate it..........

I had that problem too. In my case, it seemed to be related to having Google Earth open.

Try ctr alt del ... task manager and look see if the program is running in back ground if it is just force the program to shut down and reboot afterwords

I'm a swedish sailor, now on anchor in Ghambia, Africa(Banjul).
I really apprechiate OpenCPN and have used it on laptops under Windows/XP with only problem to find out, needed to use "maximize" to get program to start, referring to what is problem for "Jimbim".
From a former navigationteacher, now "occupied" in long sailing :-)

I had exact same problem under windows/XP and it might be same under Windows 7.

I rightclicked on taskbar(?) and clicked on maximize. This solved my problem and the great OpenCPN was visible in full action on screen.
