This is a bit silly crash, a route has to contain at least 2 wpts.
I agree. I was thinking the same thing. I was just trying to crash the program. I got up early and said to myself let me try to crash this. I hope it helps in some way.

Map Datum

Hi Dave, the CM93 detail slider works very well: thank you. I agree anyway with the user saying that a right-click access would be even more useful. Up to you.

I think to understand that OCPN 917 now handles the DTM/ field in BSB charts. Very good improvement. Just a question: do you still handle the GD= datum string or you just look at the DTM shifts?

Anyway I think the map borders (the red lines identifying the usable part of a chart) should be shifted for datum correction exactly as the map. This is important not only for an aligned on screen view but also for OCPN itself when it needs to switch between charts at the exact border: the risk otherwise is to select a chart that is still outside its real usable area.

Thanks for your work.

Ciao, Marco.

This thread has been moved into the new sub forum for OpenCPN.

You can get there directly by going to http://www.cruisersforum.com/forums/f134/

Or you can navigate to it through the usual manner.

Since there is now a dedicated subforum you should now be able to posts threads about OpenCPN in that subforum and keep things more streamlined instead of one monster thread with various issues and comments.

917 point delete crash

All...

OK, OK, I see the latest crash. Easy Fix.

Aside: If you delete that last point of an active route, you maybe deserve a crash. It might remind you to disengage the autopilot...

Seriously, though, he shouldn't crash, even on illogical key stroke sequences. I'll fix it.

Note: We will be moving the Beta download location. My host is complaining about bandwidth. 678 MB in September, more than 200 downloads. There must be many more lurking downloaders than active feedback participants....

Posted download location is now inactive. More news later.

Can't you host it at sourceforge?

New Forum Structure

Folks....

I thrive on anarchy. I'm an open-source kind of guy.

However, it seems that the opencpn thread has grown to be a bit unwieldy in its current form. It is becoming difficult for me to distinguish between critical show stoppers and other not-so-critical but interesting discussion items. And its difficult for you to be heard in a subtle way if necessary.

So, the Forum admins have set us up with a separate forum for opencpn, for which we thank them profusely. This new forum can accept multiple threads, which will help us to keep a little order in our conversations.

I have set up 4 new threads, with initial posts to describe their intent.
Please have a look at these threads, and start using them immediately.

I have captured all of the Build 917 bug reports from <THIS> thread. Thanks

I plan to discontinue actively monitoring <THIS> thread on 19 Sept, 2009.

Thanks for your continued interest in opencpn, and I'll see you in the next room.

Dave

I am closing this monster of a thread as the new subforum seems to be picking up steam. This thread will stay in place for reference (and deleting such a huge volume of posts might just crash the world).
