I am a sw developer and have experience in C++. How do I get involved in helping this project out?

Ran O today twice for two hours each time with no issues. Very good, I will alternate each day between O and PV as I continue my coastal cruise. Will post a crash report to flyspray if needed.

Happy to give O a go again but I also like Polar View.

May do the flat fee $165 repair to my Garmin some day but frankly it's a cludge to use compared to O or PV. Just has an advantage being a self contained unit when compared to laptop, AC brick, gps puck, inverter, flat screen tv, etc. How hard could it be to have overvoltage protection in the Garmin though. Seriuosly.

Did you compile it from source yet? You can check out the flyspray as there are always many issues. Consider developing a plugin to do something if you have a good idea, or you can improve any existing plugin.
