OPEN CPN Photocharts

Hi New User to Open CPN. have downloaded Version 4. Currently use Chartaid to produce photocharts (SPH) but cannot get them to show on Open CPN, Any help appreciated

OpenCPN does not support this format. Can you convert to kap? If you do, can you please report the differences (mainly file size)

I would be interested to know as I am considering developing a new chart format for opencpn which will reduce file size to 1/2 for normal charts, and much better 1/10th for imagery charts, while improving the speed at which the charts can be loaded and displayed.

Go to the Chartaid help page: ChartAid OpenCPN Users
and follow the steps. You should get a kap file.
