Open CPN charts

I have installed the software but cannot seems to find any chart download for Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore. Any info or link would be appreciated

Did you check the manual? --> the "?" button from the tool bar.
There is a dedicated chapter about charts.

And you might ask at the OCPN forum here at CF.

I did and the system simply crashes??
Maybe I made a mistake when installing the software as I did not want the charts etc to be downloaded in C:/ drive and stipulated D:/ instead?

Operating system, version of OpenCPN?
And please attach a copy of the log file - renaming it before to ...log.doc to pass the forum filters.

It is no a so good idea to change the standard install path. The directory for the charts is completely independent. You can create the directories where they best fit for your way of organizing the charts.

As BCN suggests you will have to direct OpenCPN to the new location.
Options > Charts > Add directory
Then do not forget to Check Force Full Database Rebuild.

I really do suggest reading the charts section of the manual. It should be very helpful.

Also there is a plugin callled Chart Downloader that is very helpful for downloading charts.
