I have totally installed open cpn in English. now whats my next move to get the world chart to appear??????????????????

If you bring up OpenCPN with no charts loaded you should see the world chart. If you are seeing an all blue or all green screen, zoom out a bunch and you will see the world. If not (on windows) do a "print screen", save it and attach it to your next post.

Also tell us what OS you are running.

I think he may be asking how does he get charts with detail to appear. Assuming that is the case .....

OpenCPN does not come with charts suitable for navigation. The built in World Chart does not have the detail. You need to get charts separately, and it depends on what part of the world you want as to which is the best choice. If you check the OpenCPN manual (or Help), there is a good explanation about charts and the different options.

CM93 charts cover the world and are used by many cruisers. There is a current separate thread about how to get these charts, as well as several older threads. Search for CM93.
