Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Rick,
Not quite sure what you are after here. Which menu are you asking for and what are you trying to do?

Is it possible to have the Path & Point Manager work the same way?

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Rick,
For testing you need to reduce the cycle time ("Repeat Alarm after seconds") for the alarm. I set mine to 10s. Then you shouldn't have to wait more than 10 sec for the alarm to trigger.

Is this the correct process?
Somehow Watchdog does not recognize that the boat moved outside the Inclusive Boundary.
There is a "Test" button and the alarm now rings when Tested.

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Jon,

if you can set up a win .exe I would have time this morning to test it.

Thanks

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Jon,

567:

- indicating as an install path just the Root of the version the installer will add that \OpenCPN which has to been deleted manually

- Z-order for the draw tool box is now ok - GL on/off

- I can't reproduce Rick's "suddenly flashing border points". Panning, zooming, OpenGL On/Off. All type of animals on the canvas.

- Question/observation of Z-order or order of drawing of objects:
the hatched area will cover their markers and names. I would suggest to draw these at the end and not to cover them.

- More general: How is the order of elements to be drawn. See examples below

There is an issue with the user interface (property window) on another PC with a high resolution display. Will comment about it seperately.

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Property windows on a Hi-res display (Dell XPS13 - 3200x1800)

Character size is no coherent (and too tiny in the body).

Playing with the Tabled Scaled Graphics Interface options does not change the behavior - in the case of a standard waypoint or route the interface is ok.

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

The boundary lines do not show when Excluions and Inclusion is piccked.
Suggestion: Draw the pattern first, then draw the outline.

Have experienced blinking problem again. Somehow after changing or entering properties and then closing, the object still blinks. Sometime all similar object types blink like DR.

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Rick,

trying to reproduce the two hick-ups you are describing. No success.
With whole a bunch of shapes, points, texts, EBLs at the same time.

- Changing boundaries between inclusion/exclusion/neither in all directions the borders are always visible.

- Same with the boundary points. Editing, closing, canceling, moving objects.
Always just the points being edited are flashing.

Can you try a step-by-step approach to see what is different?
I'm testing with Jon's latest version from this morning.

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

...I think I might have it per objects blinking when the user is fiddling with some other object...if the "Path And Point Manager" window is open and a point and a boundary are each highlighted, both will blink. That is, an item remains highlighted and active even though the user has changed to another dialogue (or tab if that's a better description).

Something else noticed.

If you goto toolbox/Plugins/OCPN-Daw/Preferences and set ,say, range rings to show, they do not. I have it set for a single 1 mile ring...
Not to say this is needed persistence, but why then is it there to set?

ps-newest version taken aboard now, thanks

ID:	113812 central point disappears as a scaling issue? It reappears at various zoom factors) but this is apparently an OpenGL issue.
When "ogl" off, point is persistent/ok
