Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Hi,
Patch 1.3.1 allows you to set 'Left Click and Drag' for OD objects. For Boundaries you can use this method to move the whole Boundary or a Boundary Point, but you cannot just move a segment of the Boundary.

Regards
Jon

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Jon,
I am in the middle of trying to migrate the wiki, otherwise I would try it.

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Hi,
Patch 1.3.3 allows selecting multiple boundaries and combining them into one. The combination is a rectangle based on their bounding boxes. To access this you need to hold the Ctrl key down and left mouse button click on each boundary to add, then let go of the Ctrl key and right click the desktop. You will now be given the option of Merging and Keeping the original boundaries or Merging and Deleting the original boundaries.

When selecting the boundaries they will blink. The blinking should stop when you take an action or you do another mouse interaction (left or right click) or hit Esc.

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Hi Rick,
What do you want to use this tool for? The dashboard, etc. show wind direction both relative and true, would not this just be in addition without providing much extra benefit? Are you trying to build vector diagrams showing input data and resultant, or is it something completely different?

Allow naming, style (color & thickness),etc of the vector object.

Allow the Vector object
1. Be fixed position
2. Move with the boat.
3. Attached to the arrow of another vector
4. Attached to the shaft of another vector

PS: Jon, welcome back! Where did you go? Hope you had a great voyage!

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Jon
On Win10 VS2013 and a recent OCPN Git master update.
I understand you're not patching to master but to the branch release1.3? (Builds package "ocpn_draw_pi-1.3.8-win32")
Now I tried that branch and I can't switch tool in the Draw Toolbar once anything is drawn. I can switch tool before the first draw but never more in one OCPN session. I've to restart OCPN to be able to change to another tool.

I've also tried 1.3.11 from branch release1.3-over...... and the issue above is the same.
I now saw the other thread ODraw - 1.3 Beta. We should maybe use that instead?

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Håkan, et al,
If we can use the ODraw - 1.3 Beta thread for discussing this version it would be useful to me. I will answer the 1.3 related questions there.

Regards
Jon
