Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

NAV,
I think I have found it, another one of those pesky '_T(' which don't translate. Can you carry on without this fix for the moment so that I can see if there are any more minor changes over the next day so that I can batch it up?

Thanks
Jon

The new warning text you added is not shown in translation.
The last observation is related to Watchdog ....

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Regarding process. It would be easier separate programming from internationalization if possible. IE: to get the plugins logic done first, then do languages.
Doing both at the same time complicates the process. However the act of translation seems to bring questions which help to clarify intent or require adjustment for language context.
Jon you've been very patient and steady. Gilletarom and Nav thank you for becoming good constant testers and good teamates with Jon.
It is almost done!

Jon,
No problem at all for me. Whenever I notice something, I don't expect an immediate repair action.

I generally agree. However, in case of OD and WD the English terminology used in the UI, combined with the complexity, initially caused a lot of confusion. Both with me and Gilletarom, I think. Without completely understanding the UI, testing of the code is difficult ...

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Hello Nevermind, hello Yoruck,

Tant pis. On fera avec ... Ainsi va la vie.

Cordialement votre. Gilletarom.

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

Translation of my previous post :

The official versions of OD, and WD, are online ....

"The last email I sent to JP February 24. Since then, no answer ...

Can be a strong personal reason he explains this silence? Maybe my emails bored he?

I do not know.

In any case, the language versions of the files used in the official version are not those on which we started working together. I had prepared the updates. I waited too long.

In short, never the final update took place.

Never mind. We will do with ... That's life.
"

Long life to OD and WD.

Re: Ocpn-Draw and Boundary

I created a boundary (actually several thousand generated from scripts)

I need to be able to easily

1) delete selected boundary
2) click and raw bounding points to move them *
3) drag edges of boundaries to enlarge a boundary (moving 2 points) *
4) merge selected boundaries
5) convert a boundary to another boundary which is just lat/lon box with 4 points (I can do this in a script if needed)

* for 2 and 3 shift should lock latitude, and ctrl or alt to lock longitude from changing.

I am having some issues with the draw plugin not handling 20,000 boundaries reasonably and getting stuck "sorting" when the dialog isn't even visible etc...

As far as I can tell only #1 on my list is implemented. How can I achieve the rest? am I missing something or do I need to hack the plugin?
