OCPN 4.8.2 Status bar 0.6 : Preference kills OCPN!

I just updated OCPN to 4.8.2. Once activated the 'status bar' plugin, a simple click on the Preference plugin's button opens an empty undecorated window, and after 2 seconds ... closes the OpenCPN windows !

(Note : in 4.8.0, it was not possible to memorise the preferences of Status bar plugin).

Ubuntu 16.04 x32 - statusbar, to change font size, you will have to type in the font size numbers in the size field. Using the drop down menu to choose fornt size doesen't seem to work,

OK, that was for 4.8.0, but today (4.8.2) hitting the preference button of the status bar plugin crashes (my) OCPN !

No crash under Xubuntu 16.04 x32 or Xubuntu 16.04 X64 but the font size is a little bit troublesome as discussed,

It was a hack to get away from the modal options so the user could tweak the statusbar and see the results immediately.

I had almost the same problem could not edit any Stausbar pi data from the settings menu Rasp pi3 under Openplotter.
Had to do changes in the conf. file

Thanks for your answers.

I realised that the OCPN crash was due to the fact I tried to edit the preferences of StatusBar without validating its activation !

What remains is the impossibility to edit the preferences.

BTW, Ivanm, could you be more specific regarding the conf. file : which directory and name ?

I like that staus bar plugin, and I would appreciate a lot if it could updated !

Oh yes ! It seems changes in the options/plugin/statusbar are no longer stored in the conf file (something broken ?)!

I tried statusbar again, and it works. Are you building from git sources?
