Object Query on Mac Is Empty

Hi,

On my Mac I have Opencpn Version 2.2 Build 823 running with CM93 charts. If I ask the properties of an object (right click -> object query), I get an empty box on my display. Would be nice if I could see some info on the object in that box

Anyone a suggestion on how to solve this?

Thanks in advance.

I was understanding Open CPN was not compatible with Mac OS?? Are you running under parallels or boot camp?

Re: object query on Mac is empty

I'm running it under Mac OS Leopard, just for home purposes.

OpenCPN for Mac OS X has still severe bugs. See the developers mailinglist:
SourceForge.net: Topic: OpenCPN for Mac developers discussion

Until there is no bugfixed and stable version available please run the OpenCPN Windows version on Mac OS X with BootCamp or Parallels.

Thanks Gerhard. I'm aware of the discussion, however I'm not using it for navigation purposes aboard. Just at home to make route overviews or so. I was just wondering if this function is either not working correct or if it an incorrect install setting.

Re: Object Query on Mac Is Empty

The new version for the mac is 2.3.1, a beta release I think.

It solved many things for me, I like it.

I don't use as many functions as more experienced, or digitally well equipped sailors.

However, I'm also wondering about the Object Query, Tides, and Currents functions. They seem to be unavailable to me.

Is this the case for others?

I'd like the status bar data to be a larger font also, but not essential. I haven't looked for a setting for that yet though.

Re: Object Query on Mac Is Empty

A new beta version also supports object query, tide and currents viewing now. Please be patient. There is still so much work to be done...

Excellent, thanks so much for the response and the effort put forth.

I'm glad work is continuing on the Mac version, and will continue to wait patiently for the updates.

thanks again.
