No Soundings

I am running Opencpn 3.0 and noticed this problem yesterday. The ENC chart around Everett, WA keeps going gray. Loading other charts and then returning seems to bring it back on the screen, but the soundings are not showing? Any ideas.

Not really. Can't reproduce it... Can you attach a copy of your log file?

Re: No Soundings

The Everett Harbor chart does not show soundings. Deselect the leftmost 2 keys on the chart piano.

Re: No Soundings

You see no soundings on chart US5WA51m.000 because it is quilted with a zoom factor of only 0.25. Zoom in further or untick the SCAMIN setting in the vector tab.
I can't repeat the "going gray" bit, but read Chart Quilting | Official OpenCPN Homepage, where there is an explanation about when gray areas can appear.

Thomas

PS
It also depends on exactly which chart you have loaded and are quiting.
See below where a few chart are excluded from the quilt.

Thx Thomas! This means I learned something today too! Like: Remember to think of SCAMIN.
