No chartplotter

I'm using OpenCPN 4.0.0 in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS and a Garmin 72H GPS. When
connected trough usb-port the GPS sais "connected". Transfer waypoints to/from GPS Prune and BabelGPS works fine. But no connection can be made
in OpenCPN. I Tried every possible solution I could find but no succes. Please help.

Hi ! are you using GPSD ?, Have you read the manual about setting up GPS under linux Setting Up GPS | Official OpenCPN Homepage

Try typing "xgps" from a terminal window without the quotes - what does this tell you ?

Yes, I did that all. xgps gives: dgps not running

I think the message you get is gpsd is not running, correct ? If so, see the GPSD troubleshooting page Troubleshooting GPSD
