Re: NMEA 2K and OpenCPN - How?

The interfaces are bi-directional - you choose which data is forwarded from each side.

http://www.actisense.com/products/nm...gw-1-datasheet

IIRC Actisense provides the two different products/presets of the NGW-1 for different scenarios - to avoid NMEA0183 overload in the case of AIS data. But you can override these settings.

Have you done this ?

Can you point me to the configuration tool ?

This document led me to believe NMEA2000->NMEA0183 config was not possible/available for users:

Thanks,
JM.

Re: NMEA 2K and OpenCPN - How?

JM.,

the information I found is basicly here
NGW-1: NMEA 2000 to 0183

under the "Download" tab/link. The tools (and their documentation) are there too.
I found the support guys from Actisense helpful as well.

Good Luck!
I had this same problem and to fix mine, it was a matter of opening up the ship icon in an image editor and changing the orientation of the icon and resaving. Chuck
