Nature of Bottom Text

Anyone know how I can turn off the 'Nature of Bottom' strings - such as mud, coral, sand. They appear in bold and rather take over the display INHO. I would rather the standard small letters that appear on charts M, Co, S.

I've looked through all the menus and tried the Mariner's Standard options that look appropriate, and have searched the forum without success.

Thanks for any hints.

(Great programme by the way!)

If you right click near a displayed seabed text and select object query the code for seabed is shown SBDARE

Go to toolbox vector charts and unselect SBDARE and the text for seabed is removed

Re: Nature of Bottom text

Thanks, Richard....

I wonder if we should add an option for abbreviated NATSUR text?

Thoughts?

Re: Nature of Bottom text

I dont see an value in abbreviating the nature of seabed text.
Do we support natqua quality of seabed at that would be useful anchoring sand/hard is a lot different in anchoring sand/soft

i have displayed in some areas with cmap 93 seabed as "unk" Any ideas what this may be

regards
