Moving oesEnc charts to another device?

So my original attempt at a raspi pi plotter, I used Raspbian and the V5 beta of OpenCPN.

I installed on plain Raspbian because I didn't think I needed the complication of OpenPlotter, and also open polotter was shipping with v 4.8 at the time ...

I installed a set of oesEnc charts on this device, all was good.

I've since bought a Moitessier HAT and having failed miserably to get it to work on plain old Raspbian, I installed OpenPlotter .. the base hardware (Raspi Pi 3 b+) remains the same, I was kinda hoping it was tied to processor ID or the mac address of the network card ... and the charts would still work, bit it won't.

The oesEnc system prepared a set of charts and I downloaded and installed them, but OpenCPN can't read them and pops up a warning notice about changed hardware.

Is there a way to release the "slot" and re-issue the charts? Or do I have to buy them again?

Re: Moving oesEnc charts to another device?

Please contact o-charts on Monday.
Attach a system identifier file generated with the new one, please.
Options|plug-ins|oeSENC -->preferences

For RasPis the USB key Dongle as "portable system" is recommended.
Re-installing the system means creating a new system and chats linked to the old one will not run on the new one anymore.

OK, I understand ... I will send the file.

I think in the end I need to purchase dongle, I will look at this.

Re: Moving oesEnc charts to another device?

OK, so what I will do ...

In the end, I need 2 x Raspi Pi + Laptop. 3 "slots" total. So anyway, at some time I need to buy another set of charts.

I will buy 2 x USB dongle, plus another set of charts ... I will use the dongles on the raspi pi, it sounds the best answer. If I can release the "dead" slot it might be useful, I appreciate it.
