Missing detail in oeSENC chart

I've installed the oeSENC chart Norway 2018 and I find that there are areas with missing detail/coverage. Could it be a setting or installation issue, or simply faulty map information? I made sure all parts of the map are installed. Im new to OpenCPN so I might be missing something. I've attached a couple of screenshots. Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Re: Missing detail in oeSENC chart

When you are quilting charts (or stitching them together) with different scales, OpenCPN displays more or less details depending on the scale difference.

As it is an impossible task, to give a general solution for all existing mixes of charts, there is an option to optimize the behavior for your chart set.

You will find this tool at:
Options|Display|advanced --> the slider for Chart scale/zoom Weighting for vector charts in this case.

Go to +3 or +4 and have a look what you like most.

Re: Missing detail in oeSENC chart

Thanks for the tip, but no level of detail is bringing out the "missing" areas. They remain without detail independently of zoom level and scale weighting. As the charts are produced with data from the official cartography association of Norway the info should definitely be there..

Re: Missing detail in oeSENC chart

Your versions of oeSENC? I see this is under macOS.

And can you please try OpenGL On and OFF, if this makes a difference?

And please try as well Quilting On/OFF (the "Q" quick key...) and inspect the different charts.

Re: Missing detail in oeSENC chart

Untill 2 days ago I had simular problems under linux. Only 1 cell showing full scale and the rest in smallscale.

My problem was solved on the o-chart server side.

BCN should know more about this.

Re: Missing detail in oeSENC chart

This would be another question: when did you upload the chart set?
If it was before Friday noon, just upload this subset again and please report back.

Re: Missing detail in oeSENC chart

Its oeSENC 2.0.1. I tried both quilting and Open GL on/off. I've been zooming in and out and trying different levels of detail etc but I see no difference. From the chart outlines it looks like bigger scale is simply missing, have a look at the image attached.

Re: Missing detail in oeSENC chart

I reinstalled the maps before I posted here. I did it a second time now just to try and it seems to have solved the problem. Its now complete with all its detail! Thanks a lot for all the help.
