METRIC Tides for British Columbia

Tides display as feet in BC Canada. For any MiniHacker that wants Metres,

MetricHarmonicIDXfor BC.zip - 4shared.com - online file sharing and storage - download

md5 sum for MetricHarmonicIDXfor BC.zip : 46ffa2864b2cc6da2dc27dc88174a5f9

To see if it's worth your bother, the Readme is:
"This harmonic.idx is changed to show meters in British Columbia tides...some stations have no metric eqivalent and remain as feet.
Skerry Bay has been relocated to its correct position.

Usage:
1)find the tcdata folder in OpenCPN's program files folder.
2)rename the original "HARMONIC.IDX" to "originalHARMONIC.IDX" or whatever...
3)copy this revised HARMONIC.IDX into the folder.

4)..possible nuisance? I've only noticed this as a problem ONCE after some heavy rewrites and the changes wouldn't show...) MAYBE best to find the "station_mru.dat" in OpenCPN's program Data folder and rename it too,as oldstation_mru.dat before restarting OpenCPN.OpenCPN will write a new one as metric stations in your area when she closes.

To find these folders, click the "?" in OpenCPN."

tested in OpenCPN2.5 and 2.6 Betas

Re: METRIC Tides for British Columbia

...not sure if this workaround will work...right-click,save as,then change ".doc" to ".zip "
MetricHarmonicIDXfor BC.doc

the metric tides seem a little more in tune with CHS tidebooks...

Re: Tides for British Columbia FEET

Here's one for FEET in British Columbia, where there's an option.

It also cleans up the messy overwriting seen on Tides in BC.

No Password on this when downloaded from here...
instructions above but it IS better to rename station_mru.dat or just delete it.

HARMONICfeet.doc

also here.Password to unzip Happy
