Hello,

I am a newbie with OpenCPN and I was wondering how it is possible to get some maps.

Read the manual, which is your best friend... Notably Chart Sources | Official OpenCPN Homepage is the best part of it to answer your particular question.

Maps are for automobiles, CHARTS are for boats.
