MacBook and Brookhouse iMux Multiplexor

New to OpenCPN - it's possible now to get the Swedish Maritime Administrations Baltic ENC vectorsharts from oeSENC - so switching now from iPad/iNavX as backup system.
I intend to use OpenCPN on a MacBook as backup in the cabin - it is possible to connect it to my Brookhouse iMux Multiplexor with a cable - but I wonder if anyone has managed to use a wifi connection -and if so how.
Grateful for help.

You should be able to use wifi with a tcp or udp connection.
This information is in the manual under Options > Connections

The older Brookhouse multiplexers do not support Ad-hoc connections so it depends on how you connect but it shouldn't be a problem with anything other than Androud.
