Losing connection with AIS/USB

Hi.

I'm experiencing some strange issues with nmea data.

I have Opencpn running on Raspberry Pi 3, connected via USB is an Amec Camino 108 (which also recieves depth data from airmar sounder)

I use this to give Opencpn GPS, AIS and depth

Every 1 min and 22 seconds, Opencpn loses data stream from the Amec (havind nmea debug window open as I timed everything) , the Amec seems to restart (judging from the leds on the Amec), and Opencpn receives data again for another minute and 22 sec. And so it goes on.

The Amec comes with its own program for Windows, and when testing it there everything works fine, with no restarts. I also tested just leaving the Amec connected to the Raspberry without Opencpn running, and it did not restart.

Any suggestions?
