Sorry but I did not understand everything ...
1. What is the exact manipulation to do, to correct this "small" error?
2. Do I still have to report it in the Tracker or is it not worth it?
Sorry for my beginner questions ...

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Gerhard,
I've downloaded the win version of Imagemagick
https://www.imagemagick.org/script/download.php

Found logbookknonni.png and loaded it and saved it.
Will that do the trick?

Do you know if the problem is just the logbookkonni.png or if it is all the other icons?

Thanks.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

there appears to be a similar issue with the (downloaded) user icons:

6:51:49 AM: Loading UserIcons from C:\ProgramData\opencpn\UserIcons

6:51:49 AM: Warning: iCCP: known incorrect sRGB profile

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

These warnings occur when switching from wxWidgets version 2.8** to version 3.** for OpenCPN. The newer wxWidgets versions includes a newer libpng version which doesn't like old iCCP infos included in old png files. Most developers know this and have fixed their png pictures already. Either delete any iCCP infos in png files or use the newer sRGB_v4_iCC_preference.icc data to include in a png picture file. How to delete iCCP data I have shown above already.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

We need some experienced users able to compile to try a sizeable Logbook Pull Request for "Fast Access" Called Fast Access Dialog https://github.com/delatbabel/LogbookKonni-1.2/pulls

and report back how good it is after using it. If the report is good Peter might decide to merge it.

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

I have started to set up the logbook Maintenance section, can anyone advise if I complete a maintenance task, say oil change the reminder is updated to show the next required oil change, is there a record of past services that can recall (to show proper maintenance for insurance).
Thanks

When the "Service done" (right click on the desired line) is selected, the Warnvalue and Urgentvalue will stay the same and the Startvalue will be updated for the next service period.

No record saving at this moment.

Peter

Re: Logbook Konni for OpenCPN

Hello,

How can I launch LogBookkonni without having to start opencpn ?

Indeed, I sometimes navigate a day in my navigation pool, without starting opencpn. But I would like the data of these navigations to be recorded each time.

Another reason is that I would like to save the data of the logbook on a USB key to be able to analyze them quietly during the week at the office, on my desktop computer, and also to work on the realization of a paper logbook from certain elements.

In the office, I can install a small program in exe, that's possible.
By cons, I can not install opencpn even without the cards, the system administrator of my company refuses. The only possibility I have is to install only the logbookkonni but because it's a dll, it's not possible ....

Is there a solution, please ?

Logbookkonni cannot run standalone. Only in conjunction with opencpn.
To get the data it is possible to use the View option.
On the Logbook page, select Maximal for the "Select Layout", set HTML and hit View.
This will create a HTML layout in a browser with all the data.
In the browser it will also show where the logbook.html file is created.
You can copy this logbook.html file to a USB stick to read it offline with a browser.

Is it possible to compile under CPN 4.99 with wxw 3.1.1?

Thank you Peter for responding.

But, in thread #846, I already explained that I can not use the View option and that I can not create a layout on the two PCs I have at home (on the other hand, it works on the barebone of the boat).
But it's not dramatic, it's not too important.

By cons, Peter, since you are present, how can I add a NMEA entry in an input field of the logbook ?

Let me explain.

Currently, on my boat, with a little arduino program, I calculate the estimated fuel consumption of the engine (with a formula on the RPM) and I can thus obtain the estimated volume that remains in the tank after a navigation (motorsailer).

I found that on the logbook, currently, the engine hours and the RPM are automatically entered from a NMEA sentence, RPM.

With arduino, I can write the NMEA sentence that I want, so I can add this calculated value to the RPM sentence, for example.
I would like that the logbook - which already reads the RPM and the engine hours - reads too the fuel consumption that has been added to the phrase nmea and thanks of this, the rest of the fuel will be automatically displayed in the total column

In this specific example, the "FUEL" column would receive the computed value that would be, for example, the fourth or fifth field of the RPM sentence that I would have added.

It is possible and how do i do ?

I have a fix for the resizing of the Edit window.

The NMEA codes and field layouts are hardcoded in the program and not so easy to add.

I would not abuse the RPM message for this as this is a NMEA defined message.
It would be possible to create a XDR message for this.
Like transducer type is "F", then the fuel consumption data, the units "L for liters or G for Gallons" and transducer name FUEL.
Then we have to make sure that the data is the fuel consumed between the XDR messages.

Then I can add this XDR message to the program.
It this what you would like?

Peter,

Thank you for this proposal that could really be useful to all those who often use their engine.
A XDR sentence is indeed a very good idea.

If this is possible to achieve and if it does not give you too much work, I will be very interested in adding this possibility in the logbook...

N.B.: If you can send me the fix to resize the layout window to my address "alainATschnaps.fr", thank you in advance. (AT for @)

Please share the resize fix with all of us

In case you will implement the XDR could you pls allow settings in the ini/conf file to define match of which XDR parameter goes into which logbook field.
This would be much nicer than another hardcoded solution.

Thanks
