Learning OpenCPN, need TUTOR !

I've d'loaded & installed OpenCPN & I'm sure I can eventually figure most or all of it out.

BUT in the interest of getting up to speed quickly, would be extremely interested in a Tutor/Mentor situation for learning purposes via phone/email.

Since I know nothing, you wouldn't need to be the most expert user. I'm just trying to 'jumpstart' the getting started process.

Please respond here or via PM please include any fees you may require.

Thanks

Welcome to the wonderful world of OpenCPN

I wrote a PowerPoint presentation earlier this year that might get you started.

Where are you located? Some face-to-face mentoring might be good.

When I ask this kind of question, I am often told to download and print out the manual to see if I can figure it out for myself. YMMV

Good luck with it,

Ann

Great suggestion 'jackdale'.

I'm in Houston, AND I'm willing.

YES, have experienced much the same response, thank you for the polite way you phrased it.

Re: Learning OpenCPN, need TUTOR !

First of all, BIG APOLOGIES to all. I have been ill and unable to respond properly.

Think that has changed now & will be more active unless a relapse occurs.

For 'yachtvalhallla' have spent a little time trying to figure it out.

Are there any parts of the manual that you recommend starting with & likewise for charts.

BTW, the Philippines are a place I'm considering moving to.
