help with setting up the BU-353 gps on Windows 8.1

Hello,

I would like to know if anyone has sucesfuly installed the bu-353 on windows 8.1.
I have tried with the prolific driver 2303 v1.11.0 but I keep getting the yellow warning cone when looking at ports and connections. Whilst in opencpn set-up, there are no ports to chose from, it's just blank.

I am stuck, I am very much used to mac but I have to get it working on pc ....

The easiest thing to do is get a new bu-352-S4 as stated in earlier posts.
You may be able to trick win 8.1 into using the original driver and not trying to download an update, but it is much much easier to get a new puck with seamless install.

In fact, I tried this several times, but did not succeed, so I got a new puck and dedicated the old one to my VHF/DSC
