Thank`s. I alredy figured out how to draw scaled icon, but it static and not depends of real ship position and rotation. How can I get the location and rotation data from openCPN API and bind the icon to the position of the ship?

Re: Help / FAQ

stn92...
Please look at https://github.com/OpenCPN/OpenCPN/b.../ocpn_plugin.h and/or pretty much any of the existing plugins.
You likely want to use SetPositionFixEx to make your work trivial.
Just out of curiosity - what is this plugin good for (except passing your exam of course)?

This plugin is part of automatic mooring systems. The more accurate the better.

Sorry for so many questions.

Only from the the Route and Mark manager.

Please have look into the manual for MOB - explained there as well.

Re: Help / FAQ

It would be a great help to us all if plugin authors put the least current Plugin API that works in the README file! This is an ongoing question with all newly revised plugins and it remains in determinant at this point. I have tried searching on the src folder with "plugin API" "API" etc. and I have forgotten where this is found, anyway, I think authors implement it differently, so it is not a constant.

Therefore if the Plugin API that is intended to be used were stated in the README, it would help. Alternatively the oldest version of Opencpn that is to be used would help. I can then determine what opencpn.lib is appropriate.

Thank you.

Re: Help / FAQ

I've recently installed 4.6.1 on a new laptop and hit a problem which doesn't seem to exist on 4.2 on my old laptop.
In 4.2 after I hide a chart with quilting on, I can right click on the chart bar along the bottom and unhide it. In 4.6.1 right click on the chart bar doesn't bring up a menu, so I can't see how to bring the chart back.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?
Steve.

Re: Help / FAQ

Steve...

In our tests, right-click and hide on the chartbar works in 4.6.1, if you have more than one chart on the chart bar.

Can you post a screenshot of your situation?

Thanks
Dave

Re: Help / FAQ

Thanks Dave. This is what I get when I right click the charts bar:

(hope that works) - or try this link: https://1drv.ms/i/s!AgLeDinx1ThVgw8RPWNhTXiWqpPU

The chart is highlighted and the details shown, but no menu. I hid the chart originally by right clicking on the chart area, but of course you can't do this to unhide it. I had to remove the chart folder and add them back in to get them back.

I'm running Windows 10 and using VisitMyHarbour raster charts.

I can sort of reproduce this but but not exactly. If I hide a chart using the main chart context menu (right click on the chart) then I see a red X on that chart's piano key in the chart bar. However, I can still left click on this chart's button. And I can still see some chart detail. That's because another chart covers the same area. However, once I have left clicked on a hidden chart button (with red X) I can no longer hide or show any chart using the piano buttons. Likewise, the hide chart option is no longer available in the main chart context menu. A side effect of this is that the piano buttons become rectangular (no quilting) instead of rounded (quilted). See attached screen shot. When that screen shot was taken I could get the hide/show context menu item to appear.

The fix for me was to left click on some other piano key for a chart that is not hidden. Once I do that then the piano keys revert to rounded shape and the red X reappears on the hidden chart. Then I can use the context menu to hide/unhide charts. So the workaround is to select (left click) a chart button that is not hidden.

The same thing happens whether quilting is turned on or off.

Re: Help / FAQ

Clarification: when I took that screen shot I could NOT access hide/show context menu item.

Re: Help / FAQ

Not sure if I am doing this right, but.....
does anyone know why my open cpn charts above 40 north will not open?
I have spoken to someone who remembers a similar problem, but cant remember how to fix it.
The charts are all there - they just wont display above 40N.
Any help greatly appreciated.
