Help!

i don't have a clue what i did, but my screen is black and i can't download any maps. have tried to unload the program and reload- doesn't work.
can someone give me a simple step by step detailed solution?

have you tried switching your computer off then on again...................

have 2.5.0 2000-2011 openCPN
have done the shut down/the reboot/the shake the lap top attempts

The easiest is to upgrade to version 3.2.2, that don't use a black background with a blue shoreline anymore.

Yeah!!! got the new version and that black screen is out of here! Ok now I have to down load the maps.
