has anyone managed to connect GPS2IP on windows?

Has anyone managed to connect GPS2IP to OpenCPN running on windows?

Ive got GPS2IP running (in socket mode). When I go to the Iphone server IP in a browser I can see the NMEA data but cant seem to get OpenCPN to see it.

Ive tried gpsd4win and eterlogic virtual com port software but all without any luck.....

Im running Windows 8 by the way (just to make life more complicated!)

Mattsav...
Way more important is to know which OpenCPN version it is. And if it's not 3.2, updateit before doing anything else. If it is, we need more details about your config.

The PolarNavy software seems to connect without any problems and for £46 including the UK maps it seemed the right way to go.....

Mattsav...
I'm still interested in knowing whether there's some error to fix in 3.2 or not.
PolarNavy is a great software for the price, no doubt....
