Grib File Won't Overlay

Windows 7 with 3.2.2 OpenCPN. Grib plugin is enabled and OpenCPN is pointed to the location for the grib file. But it doesn't overlay on my charts. Using zyGrib. Any help? BTW, I can't find the location to download the Grib plugin in case I need to download or update. Thanks

You must use the grib plugin. Enable from Optioms. Then load the grib file that you downloaded from zygrib.

The zygrib downloaded gribs work just fine in OpenCPN as far as I can tell. What we want to see is the screenshot of OpenCPN when you have the problem you describe earlier (= plugin open, grib file loaded, nothing displayed).

There is nothing on OpenCPN to display. That's the problem. here is a shot of the grib Directory. I click on the Grib button, the directory pops up and then nothing. BTW, this zoom level is not what I have been using to view the gribs.

Could you post the grib you think you are looking at?
I would bet you are either looking at different area or zoomed to far in to see any barbs.

Thanks Pavel, I tried at about every possible zoom level. However, the problem seems to be solved. I did an update from a previous version and it wasn't working. I uninstalled everything and re-installed fresh. The grib plugin is now working. Many thanks. Maybe I should start another thread, but I have another question. Can I import a gpx file of my tracks from another software program into OpenCPN? It doesn't have an export tracks or gpx option for the other program, but I can access the gpx files. Chuck

Yes, you can. Open the Route manager and look for the "Import GPX" button.
And read the manual

Not sure what huge graphic you are referring to. If you mean our banner, we are paid sponsors of CF and the banner is part of what we pay for. Sorry if it bothers you. Chuck

The forum allows signature graphics like that for paying members, both supporters and commercial.

I can see how on a small resolution screen it could be annoying, but on my home computers it is not objectionable to me at all.

Disclaimer: I may be a little biased defending Chuck. Long before he became a commercial member, he was a great contributor to the forum. I like seeing his logo and the avatar of his boat. I remember when he went from sail to trawler. Cool to see him put together the Waterway Guide.
