grib file not actionable in new Open CPN install

I have recently installed opencpn_3.2.0-2_amd64.deb on Linux Mint 13 and everything seems to work okay except when I try to display a grib file. The grib file is visible in the folder but greyed out and not actionable, rendering it useless.

I have a simialr setup on a laptop and it works as it should.

Anyone elese had this problem and know what the problem is? (which is the first step to solving it).

Cheers,
Simon

It looks like you are trying to open a grib directly, instead of first loading the directory where the gribs are. At the top of the grib plugin dialog it says "GRIB File Firectory", use this to select the directory where the grib files are. The individual gribfiles will then be displayed in the window just below.
Click the grib file you want displayed.
