GPSD on nonstanbdard port

Is it possible to make OpenCPN connect to a GPSD (Networked LIBGPS) running on a non-standard port (say 4711)? I have tried to fill in all of the following in "GPSD Data Server" (guessing wildly) to no avail:

"localhost:4711"
"localhost :4711"
"localhost 4711"
"gpsd://localhost:4711"

If it is possible, what is the syntax? If not, will this be fixed?

Re: GPSD on nonstandard port

... why not just use the gpsd default port 2947?
