GPS / Transducer Help Needed

I am buying a new Stingray 250CS. Stingray does not offer a GPS asan option but I have ordered the optional depth finder which displays depth information using a digital gauge. I believe the depth finder is made by Faria. I do not know where its transducer is located or whether it is NMEA compatible. I want to purchase a Garmin 421s GPS/Sounder with a thru-hul transducer. This device is NMEA compatible. Short of drilling holes and/or complex installation is there a way I can hook the Faria's transducer to the Garmin? Alternately, can anyone suggest what/how I should install so I can get not just depth indication but the underwater profile as the Garmin 421s sounder option makes possible?

Depth sounder transducers and fish finder transducers are 2 different things, you can't substitute one for the other.

The chance that the Faria transducer and the Garmin are compatible is pretty slim.

As DotDun indicates, you may be asking too much of the technology.

Airmar is the largest manufacturer of transducers, and have manufacturer cross-references and technical information on their website.

Thanks! I shall call Stingray to see if the transducer that they use for their depth-finder (made by Faria) is NMEA compliant. If so, I am hoping I can use an NMEA T-connector and feed both the Faria depth-finder and the Garmin 421s (which is NMEA compliant). I am trying to avoid the, what appears to be a bit tricky, installation of a Garmin transducer for shoot-thru-hull operation.
