GPS AIS AP Multiplexer

I am running 2.5. The GPS comes from a Garmin 4210 and the AIS is from a Garmin 300. Both are routed through a ShipModul multi-plex lite USB. The autopilot install will be finished this weekend and wired to the talker port of the multiplexer. Now with only the GPS and AIS wired AIS shared is my only choice for GPS comport. If I switch it to comport 5, it will switch back on startup. The AIS is also on comport 5. Not sure if this just happens with a multiplexer. If my autopilot is also on comport 5, will the multiplexer just handle this and is it going to work without additional hardware?
Again port settings are:

GPS: AIS shared (does not seem to be changeable)
AIS: com 5
AP: com 5
